At Toron, we give wealth management the personal touch that growing your life savings deserves. After all, understanding your specific objectives is crucial to helping you preserve financial flexibility.
You'll own your own personalized portfolio that reflects your individual investment objectives and risk parameters, rather then being indiscriminately lumped into a mutual fund or share of an investment pool. We'll give you the best of both worlds – the insight, expertise and personal service of a small entrepreneurial group and the security of lodging your portfolio at a major global custodian.
We'll develop a comprehensive investment strategy tailored to your specific needs. We'll work with you to design an appropriate asset mix taking into consideration your risk tolerance and specific tax concerns. We'll help you optimize the timing of capital gains. Because we set our sights on the long term, minimizing transaction costs and the tax burden of frequent portfolio turnover, more of your savings are invested and working for you.
You'll always deal directly and promptly with Toron principals for your initial consultation, quarterly portfolio reviews, and specific inquiries or concerns. Plus, we offer customized reporting that comments on your specific holdings and highlights your rate of return after fees. We base our fees on the market value of your portfolio so our goal, like yours, is to preserve and grow your investment assets.
We do our own proprietary research and trade anywhere in the world. Toron believes that the foundation of superior long-term investment performance is grounded in thoughtful, disciplined security-specific fundamental research. This is why we conduct our own independent research not simply relying on research reports produced by investment dealers whose opinions may be swayed by factors other than a stock’s pure investment merit.
We own only individual stocks and bonds for our clients and do not buy structured products, funds-of-funds or pooled funds for our clients’ portfolios. All assets are held by a third-party custodian – CIBC Mellon or TD Bank.
